The minister inaugurated the 11th All India Police Judo Cluster 2026 sports competitions at the Gachibowli Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad. The event brought together police athletes from across the country to compete in the judo competitions.
Addressing the gathering, Bandi Sanjay expressed confidence that India would secure a position among the top 10 sporting nations by 2036. He stated that the Modi government has introduced several measures aimed at promoting sports and improving opportunities for athletes.
The Union Minister also praised the services of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for protecting important national assets, including airports and major industries. He further stated that India is preparing to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030.
Bandi Sanjay said that the country is moving ahead with a planned approach to ensure that India achieves a place among the top five sporting nations by 2047. He added that around 36 teams, including teams from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, are participating in the judo cluster competitions.
CISF South Additional Director General Padmakar S. Ransipe, National Industrial Security Academy Director and Inspector General Harpit Kaur Sohi, S.R. Saravanan, and several other senior officials participated in the sports event.
The 11th All India Police Judo Cluster 2026 reflects the growing focus on competitive sports and highlights the efforts being made to strengthen India's position on the global sporting stage.
